Anti-Prison Organization Contacts howardsgoodyearblog

Editor’s note;

Someone who identifies him/herself as CT has been writing to me about the overall situation with prisons in Arizona. I don’t know where they got my blog info but I believe this person to be from Tucson.  You must judge for yourself as I have not vetted any of the claims in any of the information that CT has provided that I have included verbatim below.  I’ve asked CT to write a post and so far he/she refuses because of “fear of reprisals”.

howardsgoodyearblog generally supports privatization of government services where it makes sense and can reduce costs. Locating prisons near elementary schools and high end neighborhoods does not make a lot of sense to me, however.

Here you go;

“Tell Arizona Officials: No More Private Prisons!”  | Change.org

Sentencing reform being done in other conservative states is reducing prison population, closing prisons and saving taxpayers hundreds of millions of $$’s that could be spent on education, job training, health care and community services. It’s time to end the mass incarceration of Arizona’s people, visitors and end importing inmates from other states. Profiteering off human misery is immoral and unethical. Conflicts of interest should be criminal.
